Iraqi Women's Parliamentary Group has been formed with the participation of 81 female members from the Iraqi Parliament. The female parliamentaries announced that they won't vote for new cabinet unless the percentage of women's representation in the Haider al-Abadi's government will be 25%. The parliamentarian Rêzan Şêx Dilêr talked to Rojnews about the issue. Rêzan said, "Women must have common voice like other peoples and religion members, particularly the female parliamentaries in the Iraqi Parliament."

Rêzan pointed out that they had tried to form a women's parliamentary group before. "We couldn't form a group due to discussions of who would be the president and vice president in the first cabinet. However, we carried out the work as a women's commission. We have formed Women's Parliamentary Group with 81 female parliamentaries's signatures. Unfortunately, the parliament is functionless now because, there isn't any role of women in political parties.

"We have formed this group to raise the questions about children and women in the parliament. The first step of our group will be to apply pressure on the Iraq government to provide place for women in new cabinet. We won't vote for new cabinet unless the percentage of women's representation in the Haider al-Abadi's government will be 25%."
