Gülser Yıldırım: They try to wide our cities off the map

MÊRDÎN - Mardin Governor announced on March 15 that the governorship has banned all kinds of meetings, marching and press release in the center of Mardin and its districts for 30 days. The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Mardin MP Gülser Yıldırım said these bans are arbitrary treatment. Gülser stated that the city has been demolished and people cannot react to this stop this practice by using their democratic rights. The bans have been carried into effect to take away the people’s democratic rights.

Mardin Governor announced on March 15 that the governorship has banned all kinds of meetings, marching and press release in the center of Mardin and its districts for 30 day. The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Mardin MP Gülser Yıldırım gave explanations to martial law which has been imposed in the Nusaybin district of Mardin. Gülser said that the dirty war policies, which have been begun by the AKP government and Turkish state on Kurdistan, have continued with all their brutality and lawlessness. The people have been prevented to raise their voice against this brutality and lawlessness by banning all activities and actions.

Gülser stated that dirt war began in Cizre, Silopi, Sur and Silvan and it has continued in three parts of Kurdistan Gever, Şırnak and Nusaybin now. “Nusaybin is under siege and a huge atrocity has been imposed on the town. State forces have attacked Nusaybin and other banned cities Şırnak, Gever (Yüksekova) and Sur by using mortar and artillery. They try to wide our cities off the map. This is a desperate situation.

“The Mardin governorship has banned all kinds of meetings, marching and press release in the center of Mardin and its districts for 30 days. These bans are arbitrary treatment. Nusaybin has been demolished and people cannot react to this stop this practice and savagery by using their democratic rights due to these bans.

“When we, as women, have tried to raise our voice against the siege, death and anti-democratic violence, we have faced to obstructions. They try to turn down our voice for Nusaybin by blocking us. However, we will continue to raise our voice against this hostile mentality and we will never leave alone our people.”
