Siege in Şırnak, Nusaybin, Yüksekova continues

NEWS CENTER- As resistance in Şırnak, Silopi, Nusaybin and Yüksekova has continued, state forces have attacked the neighborhoods.

NUSAYBİN
Martial law has entered in the 27th day in the Nusaybin district of Mardin. The attacks towards resistance of neighborhoods have continued intensely. After intense clashes took place in the neighborhoods yesterday, the neighborhoods had been struke by mortar and howitzer fire. Smoke still rises from the neighborhoods.

President Tayyip Erdoğan gave instructions by saying, "Force people to displace by demolishing the houses. If needed, empty the areas where operations have been carried out. We can demolish the buildings which become available, from far away." After this statement, the authority of the operations took from the Mardin Governor and gave to military commanders in the district. The houses, mosques and churches have been bombed in the district.

ŞIRNAK

Genocidal attacks under the name of "curfew" have continued for 26 days. State forces have attacked the İsmetpaşa, Cumhuriyet, Gazipaşa, Yeni Mahalle and Bahçelievler neighborhoods by using tanks, bombs, and howitzer. Smoke rises from the neighborhoods andmany houses caught on fire. Special forces tried to enter the Yeni neighborhood last night. A clash erupted between special forces and the Civilian Defense Units YPS/YPS-JIN. A special force was shot to death in the clash. After a special force died, the clash became intensified and continued for hours.

SİLOPİ

24-hour-curfew has been imposed for five days in the Silopi district of Şırnak. Siege has continued on the Başak, Cudi and Barbaros neighborhoods. State forces have continued to bomb the neighborhoods in the district.

YÜKSEKOVA

Genocidal attacks under the name of "curfew" have entered in the 28th day in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari. The attacks on the Güngör and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods have continued. State forces set the buildings in the Dize, Yeşildere, Orman, Eski Kışla and Mezarlık neighborhoods on fire.

Meanwhile, 24-hour curfew has entered in the 11st day in the Oremar (Dağlıca) region of Nusaybin. The blockade has continued in the Vezirava (Vezirli) village and Çimenli hamlet of the Oremar (Dağlıca) region. About 700 people, who live in the village and hamlet, live an imprisonment life.
