ŞIRNEX - A woman in Cizre Nahide expressed that the peace will only come to Botan lands by resisting. "We won't take steps backward even if they demolish and burn our houses. The children, who lived in 1990, grew up. We grew up. We are conscious and we are aware of everything. Be sure that the children, who live in this period, will be angrier, they will grow up with a strong will." said Nahide.
The children, who lived in 1990s and witnessed the state's cruelty, transformed Cizre into resistance area. Cizre people think about their resistance children not their demolished houses after the resistance which continued for 79 days. We asked Nahide, who was sitting in front of her house, who did resist here for 79 days? Nahide replied, "They were children who wore shirts of resistance to avenge their fathers, friends and relatives, who were killed in 1990s. They must know that the children of 2016 will grow up."
Nahide told us her story. "I was child in 1990s. However, I remember that state forces had conducted raid on our house. We had had dinner. They had forced mt father to get up from the table and they had got out him by slapping in front of me. The people couldn't say anything that time. However, we grew up now and we are aware of everything. Could I keep silent this mentality which tortured my father and mother in front of me? I cannot like the soldiers and police who remained my family out under the sun. The anger inside me increases day by day.
"The state thinks they will solve by demolishing and burning. Every government tried to annihilate us by killing. However, they couldn't. On the contrary, a more unyielding and compative people have emerged.
"When I was child, my dream was to call to account those who tortured my father and mother. The new generation is growing up with this dream now how we did before. The more we want the peace, the more the state kills us. We don't want peace anymore. We cannot be sisters and brothers those who kill us."
