MÊRDÎN - Dicle News Agency (DİHA) reporters Meltem Oktay and Uğur Akgül were taken into custody yesterday in the Nusaybin district of Mardin. Meltem and Uğur are expected to be sent to prosecution today.

Special forces conducted raids on the houses of Meltem Oktay and Uğur Akgül, who are the reporters of Dicle News Agency (DİHA), in the Nusaybin district of Mardin yesterday. Two journalists were taken into custody by being battered yesterday during the raids. Two journalists were taken to Nusaybin Police station. They have been held in Anti-Terror Team (TEM) branch of Nusaybin.

No information has been obtained why the journalists have been detained.
