ŞIRNEX/MÊRDÎN - Clashes have continued in Şırnak and Nusaybin where 24-hour curfew has entered in the second month.

Eighth curfew, which was declared in the Nusaybin district of Mardin on March 13, has entered in the 31st day. Heavy clashes have continued in the town. However, state forces haven't entered the Abdulkadirpaşa, Zeynelabidin, Kışla, Fırat, Dicle and Yenişehir neighborhoods even if they have used mortar and howitzer. The authorities of Mardin Governor were given to hight ranking military officers on April 9. The President gave instruction. He said, "If needed, bomb the town from far away." to the high ranking military officers, while the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahçeli said, "Don't leave one stone on another and don't leave head on head."

The attacks with mortar and howitzer have continued nonstop in the town. Houndreds of houses have been demolished by mortar and howitzer fire. The people have been forced to leave their homes by state forces. State forces have random shot the neighborhoods. A citizen named Mehmet Pitek (40), who was a cleaning staff in Nusaybin Municipality, was shot and killed by fire shot from armored vehicles when he went out to smoke.

A member of Women's Civil Defense Forces (YPS-JIN) named Mihriban Koçan (Nom de guerre Yıldız Gever) died in the attacks towards Nusaybin.

Şırnak

Genocidal attacks under the name of "curfew" have entered in the 30th day in Şırnak. Co-chairs of the People's Assembly of Şırnak made a written statement. The statement reads, "We don't think how we can resist after these days. We just think how the AKP will resist. This war is the last war of the AKP and Erdoğan. This state and government hasn't been in such difficulty before. The Kurds won't be cheated with old classics discourse. This movement won't be stopped without the freedom of our people and our leadership. The resistance of Botan and Şirnex will be end of Erdoğan. We herald to our people that we succeed. However, the resistance cannot be only from a part. Everyone must riot with the spirit of the national liberation."
