Hanife has been liberated by Kurdish People's Protection Unit (YPG) and Women's Protection Units (YPJ). Hanife told us the inhuman practices of gangs members and still many women are held by gangs and she said that she hope all these women will be liberated soon.

Many women, children, youths, eldery people were killed and thousands of women were abducted to sell as slave by Daesh when Daesh occupied Shengal on August 3, 2014. Many abducted women are held as slave by Daesh gangs. Many people have been rescued from Daesh gangs by Kurdish People's Protection Unit (YPG) ,Women's Protection Units (YPJ) and Shengal Women Unite (YJŞ) forces. An Êzidî woman named Hanife Mehel Heso was rescued from Daesh gangs in the past few days. She told us the inhuman practices of gangs and how she was rescued.

Hanife said that they began to run to Shengal when they heard Daesh gangs attacked the Koço village. "We tried to save ourselves from Daesh in the edict day. However, Daesh gangs' members had caught us in Shengal and then they had released us. We had begun to run, but they had blocked our way again and they held us as slave. They caught me and my six children while my husband could escape. They separated the elderly and sick people from us. First they took us to Eqd and then to Telafere, Ksirmahram, Musul, Haynirxidir and Budus. One of my daughters is held in Musul and another in Telafer. They took seven- year-old children from us and they divided us into two groups. They separated our children from us. They beat the women with sticks when the women cried for their children.

"They put us somewhere under ground. It was dark. They listed our names. We told them that take us out from here or kill us. Then, they brought us to another place. It was a big house. About 100 men were sitting on the chairs. They told us that the person, whose name is called, must stand up. They took off our and children's clothes and they showed us to the men. Each man bought one family for himself. A man bought me and took me with him.

"The man delivered me to another man. Daesh gangs' members blocked our road. They arrested us and put in a dark place. I and my two sons and many women stayed in the dark place for a while. We opened a hole to escape from there. They caught us when we were escaping. They asked us who we are and where we go. We told them that we were going to village. That time they asked our ID cards. We didn't have ID cards so they caught us and they took us to the dark place. A man named Ebu Faruk bought me from them. Sometimes, he went to out and didn't return for 10 days. One day, he went and never came back again. One of his friends came to home and said me Ebu Faruk had been killed in the war. Then he took me and my two sons. I was sold to 14 men."

Hanife said she planned to escape. She told us, "The last man, who bought me, told me "I will go out to bring food to you." Daesh members insulted to women all time. They sold women to another man. I took my children and went to another home as soon as the man went out. I asked the people to help me. I told them to help me to show how I can contact to the YPG/YPJ forces. They helped me. Finally, I found the YPG/YPJ forces. They helped us. I am thankful to them. I will never forget their kindliness. I hope they will defeat Daesh.
"Still many women and children are held by Daesh. I hope that Kurdish People's Protection Unit (YPG) ,Women's Protection Units (YPJ) and Shengal Women Unite (YJŞ) forces will rescue them soon."
