MÊRDÎN - Dicle News Agency (DİHA) reporters Meltem Oktay and Uğur Akgül were detained on April 12. They were sent to court to arrest yesterday. Meltem was sent to jail on charges of "being a member of a terrorist organization"and Uğur was released yesterday.

Special forces conducted raids on the houses of Meltem Oktay and Uğur Akgül, who are the reporters of Dicle News Agency (DİHA), in the Nusaybin district of Mardin on April 12. Two journalists were taken into custody by being battered during the raids. They were sent to Nusaybin State Hospital which has been used as housecourt yesterday. Two journalists were sent to the court on duty for arrest after the prosecution process. Meltem has been jailed on charges of "being a member of a terrorist organization" and Uğur has been released by the court.
