Bombardment, clashes in Şınak, Silopi, Yüksekova

NEWS CENTER - As genocidal attacks have continued in Şırnak, Silopi, Nusaybin and Yüksekova, OHAL (state of emergency) legislation has been imposed on Yüksekova.
ŞIRNAK
Genocidal attacks have entered in the 32nd day in Şırnak. State forces, who have continued their bombardment in the city, came across the resistance of the Civilian Defense Units YPS/YPS-JIN when they tried to enter the neighborhoods. The clashes, which were intensified in Gazipaşa and Ömer Kabak Squares yesterday, have continued locally. The Yeni and Bahçelievler neighborhoods have been struck by mortar and howitzer fire since last night. Fire broke out in many houses in the neighborhoods. Sound of explosions and gunshots have come from the İsmetpaşa, Cumhuriyet and Dicle neighborhoods where the clashes have been intensified for 20 days.
SİLOPİ
The last 24- hour curfew, which was declared on April 4, has entered in the 11st day in the Silopi district of Şırnak. Eight civilians, including a baby and elderly people, and five members of the the Civilian Defense Units YPS/YPS-JIN have died in the bombardment. State forces have conducted raids on houses in the district since the curfew was declared. Tens of people, including co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) were detained during the house raids. As the detainees have been released, some of the detainees were subjected to torture.
Meanwhile, the houses in Barbaros and Başak neighborhoods where Urgent Expropriation was declared, have been demolished by state forces.
YÜKSEKOVA
Siege has continued in Yüksekova (Kurdish name: Gever) district of Hakkari for 34 days. Many houses in Orman, Mezarlık, Eski Kışla, Yeşildere and Dize neighborhoods were burned by state forces.
Meanwhile, the siege of armored vehiches on the Vezirava village and the Çimenli hamlet of Yüksekova have continued. Houndreds of people were forced to leave the Mexsûdava village two days ago. Many gendarmerie special operations forces were sent to the village. The Dara, Pirzala, Peyla, Sekran, Navdiyan, Xalane and Bajêrgeh villages, located around the district, have been blockaded and de facto "ban" have been imposed for two days.
