QAMIŞLO - Women, who organize with the support of the Women's Economic Committee, have added a new agricultural cooperatives everyday. Women stated that the communal economy has progressed through cooperatives with spirit of unity and struggle. They said they would be together in production and life.

Women have worked in the fields which are planted in December and November in the villages and city center of Qamişlo located in Cizîr Canton. Women planted 73 sacks of seed on 730 thousand acres area after they had weeded the area. 35 women have organized as agricultural cooperatives. They have continued to live together with common labor. Women, who have worked in cooparatives, don't hire any worker, they do everything themselves.

Şîrîn Yusiv is one of these women. She said that they gathered and decided to do this work. "We began to work by forming our agricultural cooperatives with the support of the Women's Economic Committee. We planted the seeds on this field on November and December. We are 35 women and we do everything ourselves. We plough, irrigate and reap. The power of women comes to light with devotion and confidence."

Cîhan Bağistanî is another woman in the cooperatives. Cîhan said, "We have planted wheat, barley and lentils for almost one year. We come together and meet the needs of the field. We feel happy with this women's association." Cîhan also addressed that the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan must be free. She said, "We want the freedom of our Leadership and four parts of Kurdistan. We, as women, will liberate our leadership even if we have to stand alone. We will liberate four parts of Kurdistan and our leadership with the power and will of women."
