Êzidî women to celebrate their feast under the flag of YJŞ

SHENGAL - The Shengal Women Unite (YJŞ) Military Council member Zeynep Cudi made evaluations about the feast Çarşama Sor (Red Wednesday)." All women must join the YJŞ with the occasion of Çarşema Sor. Let's build new life together. Let's make this life meaningful." said Zeynep.
The Êzidî New Year, known as Sere Sal, meaning "Head of the Year", is celebrated on a particular Wednesday of April after April 13, known as Çarşema Sor (Red Wednesday). Festivals carry the cultures that form the identity of the community. The Feast of Çarşema Sor is very important for Êzidîs and it has been celebrated by Êzidîs around the world. Shengal Women Unite (YJŞ) Military Council member Zeynep Cudi spoke to our agency about Çarşema Sor.
Zeynep stated that Êzidîs are very happy to celebrate their feast. "Çarşema Sor means life source for us Êzidîs. It means the coming of spring. The nature wakes up and turns green. We boil the eggs and color eggs in this day.
"We, as YJŞ members, know the importance of this day. We are peoples' protection unite. We are the power of the resistance of Ezidxan. For that reason the YJŞ and the people complement each other. We are with the people everytime. We'll celebrate Çarşema Sor under the name and flag of the YJŞ for the first time.
"All women must join the YJŞ with the occasion of Çarşema Sor. Let's build new life together. Let's make this life meaningful."
