13 protesters detained as Dilek Doğan murder trial begins

İSTANBUL - The second hearing in the trial of a police officer named Y.M accused of killing of Dilek Doğan a 25-year-old woman who died after being shot by police during an anti-terror raid on her house last October, began with 13 protesters, who shouted "Murderers of Dilek must be tried", detained in front of the Istanbul Courthouse
Dilek Doğan (25) who was shot during a house raid on October 19, 2015 in Sarıyer district of İstanbul conducted in connection with a "DHKP-C (Revolutionary People's Liberation Party - Front) Investigation" died on October 25, 2015. She was heavily wounded when the police opened fire on her in the house. Dilek Doğan's family declared that the police opened fire when they had a dispute for wearing overshoes to enter the house. The second hearing of in the trial of a police officer named Y.M accused of killing of Dilek Doğan began today at Çağlayan 12nd Criminal Court. The family and lawyers of Dilek Doğan and the lawyers of Y.M. have attended the hearing. However, the police officer Y.M. didn't attend the hearing. The Republican People's Party (CHP) MPs Hilmi Yarayıcı and Gamze İlgezdi and the singer Pınar Aydınlar and the family of Berkin Elvan have followed the hearing.
Meanwhile, 13 people, who gathered in front of Couthouse and shouted "Murderers of Dilek must be tried", have been taken into custody by police.
The trial has continued.
