ANKARA -

Women from Dev-Lis gathered in front of Ankara Courthouse to protest the sexually abusing 10 children in what are alleged to be guesthouses run by Ensar Foundation while the trial has continued in Karaman. The women unfurled a banner reads, "Rapist Ensar Foundation must be closed" and shouted a slogan, "Women won't remain silent".

Thereafter, the women began a sit-down. The police surrounded the women and stated that the protest was illegal and they would interfere. The women told the police, "The children are raped everyday. However, they still continue to protect the rapists and murderers. We demand justice for the chidhren who were raped in the guesthouses of Ensar Foundation. We won't leave here until our demand is accepted." Many citizens supported the women and reacted to the police. The police took the four women into custody by battering.

Four women have been taken into custody despite a lawyer objected to the detention of four women by saying three of women are under the age of 18.
