ŞIRNEX/MÊRDÎN - As genocidal attacks have continued in the center of Şırnak and clashes have continued in the Nusaybin district of Mardin, state forces have bombed Şırnak from all quarters. Violent clashes have continued in the city.

ŞIRNAK

The popular resistance for self-government has been going on in Şırnak for 40 days against genocidal attacks. The city was hit by artillery and howitzers continuously through last night. Dozens of houses and shops caught fire as a result of shells, especially in the Kanîya Jêr region between İsmetpaşa and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods. The city is covered in black smoke due to the fires.

Clashes between state forces and YPS/YPS-JIN members have continued in many neighborhoods. The city have been bombed nonstop from all quarters. Meanwhile, armored vehicles deployed around the neighborhoods have raked the neighborhoods. State forces tried to enter the neighborhoods with artillery. The YPS/YPS-JIN responded the state forces attacks. Clashes erupted between state forces and the YPS/YPS-JIN members. The clashes have continued nonstop for eight hours.

Several helicopters were seen landing and taking off at 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command and Çakırsöğüt Gendarmerie Brigade. Helicopters are also flying low over the rural parts of the city over Cudi and Gabar directions.

SİLOPİ

Siege and political genocide attacks are going on in the Silopi district of Şırnak. State forces conducted house raids on Cudi neighborhood. The municipality personnel Muhyettin Mete and his son Hasan Mete were detained by state forces. Muhyettin Mete and his son Hasan Mete have been jailed and sent to Şırnak T Type Closed Prison.

NUSAYBİN

The popular resistance in Mardin's Nusaybin district has reached its 41st day. The intensifying clashes in the night have continued into the morning hours. State forces have continued to demolish commercial buildings in the town. The Smugglers Bazaar was set on fire in the night and the fire was put out by the fire department. Several shops in the bazaar have been damaged in the fire.

The town entered the new day with a new bombing. Intensifying attacks also have continued in the Abdulkadirpaşa neighborhood.
