İSTANBUL - Police conducted raids on houses of personnels and readers of Özgür Gelecek Newspaper in the morning. 21 citizens have been detained in the raids.

Police conducted simultaneous raids on the houses of personnels and readers of Özgür Gelecek Newspaper in Istanbul in the morning. The personnels of the newspaper Sevil Doğan and Rahime Karvar have been detained in Istanbul while the personnel of the newspaper named Tufan Çiçek has been detained in Erzurum.

As the newspaper readers Soner Dobriç, Özer Çorlu, Ekin Babacanoğlu, Adilcan Özdoğan, Aysel Kaya, Cevahir Vurucu, Veysel Ulaş Arslan and Gülhanım Aslandoğa have been detained in the raids, Newspaper officials said that totaly 21 citizens have been detained until now. The detainees were taken to Istanbul Police Headquarters
