İSTANBUL - As the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Republican People's Party (CHP) MPs have continued to react to the proposal of conctitutional amendment lifting the legal immunity of parliamentarians which was prepared by the AKP government, the voters of these parties are also reacting to the practice. The HDP Fatih District manager Fatma Arslan said, "Lifting of immunity is not only a political manoeuvre against our representatives, it is also a blow to the people's will."

Proposal of "lifting of immunity" has been submitted to the Parliament with the signature of 316 representatives of the AKP. The voters of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Republican People's Party (CHP) have been reacting to this proposal. The voters describe the proposal of "lifting of immunity" as "attacks to people' will". Ceren Çoban, student at Marmara Faculty of Law, said, "The AKP has tried to kill all people those who demand equality and freedom or put them in jail with political genocide. The HDP MPs remain unjailed and alive. The AKP has tried to put them in jail by lifting their immunity and annihilate the will of freedom and equality of six million people.

"The discussion of lifting immunity must be discussed on all MPs not only the HDP MPs. Kobanê was bombed two years ago, the people those who demanded the peace were killed in Şuruç and Ankara. They will continue to explode their bombs in Taksim, Şişli, Ankara and Antalya. This war will expand. The HDP people, who have represented 6 million people, women and all people must band together to end this war."

The HDP Fatih District manager Fatma Arslan, meanwhile, said, "Lifting of immunity is not only a political manoeuvre against our representatives, it is also a blow to the people's will. Therefore, we don't accept this proposal. Kurdish people won't remain silent."

Hatice Cankur, a teacher, said, "The status isn't important. If they want to lift the immunity, let's lift the all the legal immunity of parliamentarians. Why do the people, who represent us, need legal immunity? The legal immunity of President and the AKP MPs must be lifted."
