AMED - The Peace Mothers condemn the racist attacks on Kurdish people and their representatives by saying, "Why do you insist on war while we can live in peace? Stop seeing the Kurds as enemy."
The Peace Mothers made a press statement to condemn the racist attacks on the Kurdish people and their representatives in the office of the Assemby of Peace Mothers. Peace Mothers talked about the racist discourse on Ferhat Encü and attacks on the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Female MPs. They stated that the policies that have been imposed on Kurdish people in Turkey are unacceptable.
Raife Özbey made the statement in behalf of the Peace Mothers. Raife said a lynch campaign has been launched against the Kurdish people everywhere in Turkey. "First, Amedspor was faced to a racist attack. As Peace Mothers, we want to state that we stand by Amedspor. We are concerned about the verbal and physical assault against our representatives those who were selected by the people.
"Return to peace process and the table of negotiation and stop the blood and tears in this country. The pain and tears don't have any religion, language and color. Turkish government insists on war while we can live in peace together. We demand peace in Kurdistan and freedom for Mr.Abdullah Öcalan. This parliament is the parliament of people. It isn't the parliament of the AKP. These MPs entered to the parliament with the votes of millions of people. We condemn strongly the attacks on particularly women and Kurdish people."
