MÊRDÎN - Five citizens, including Dicle News Agency (DİHA) reporter Abdulkadir Turay, who were detained during house raids in the Savur district of Mardin by state forces, have been sent to jail by court.

State forces conducted house raids in the Savur (Kurdish: Stewrê) district of Mardin on May 5. DİHA reporter Abdulkadir Turay, deputy mayor Osman OK, the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) members Mehmet Sait Tuncer, Şakir Turan and Yusuf Arat were detained during the raids. After their testimony in prosecution, the five citizens were sent to the court for arrest.

Abdulkadir and other four citizens have been jailed on charges of "aiding and abetting a terrorist organization". They were sent to Mardin E Type Closed Prison.
