ANTEP - Nizip Refugee Camp led by Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) was introduced as perfect, however, it is emerged that 30 children have suffered from sexual abuse. The assaults have been determined from the camera recording. As a cleaning worker has been detained, according to the officer of the AFAD, they haven't become aware of assaults which dured for three months in the camp.

Sexual child abuse scandals have become a current issue in recent times in Turkey and each day new sexual child abuse scandal has emerged. According to daily BirGün, another sexual child abuse scandal, with 30 chidlren, emerged from Nizip Refugee Camp led by Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) in Antep. Parents of some eight refugee children amongst 30 have made a complaint and the assaults dured for three months.

A cleaning worker, who is identified by the initials E.E., deceived the children by offering them money. E.E. was detained and sent to jail on September, 2015 but the prosecution is still going on. Families of other abused children have not spoken up and complaint because "they live in the country as asylum seekers".

The scandal was uncovered by personnel in the camp through security footage. They suspected E.E. had been taking the children to the same place, which is a camera blind spot.

"Welcome to the country hosting the most refugees in the world," it says at the entrance of the Nizip refugee camp.Last month, on Children's Day, German PM Angela Merkel, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu and his deputies Yalçın Akdoğan and Mehmet Şimşek and Interior Affairs Minister Efkan Ala and the Metropolitan Municipality mayor Fatma Şahin visited the camp.

Nizip refugee camp has hosted 14 thousand Syrian refugees.
