ŞIRNEX - Fatim Külter has lived in tent in the Şenoba area due to ongoing genocidal attacks in Şırnak. She has been forcibly displaced four times since 1990. "We won't leave our lands. We won't be forced to be Turkish by being displaced to the West of Turkey even if they demoslih and burn our city by bombing." said Fatma by stating that the people are wanted to be displaced to the West.

Displacement and massacre policies have been imposed in Kurdistan under the name of "curfew". However, these policies haven't been begun recently. The people have been displaced since 1990s. 75- year-old Fatim Külter had been displaced from her village Besta Dedeören in 1990 due to her village had been evacuated and burned. Fatim had gone to Şırnak with her family. However, their home had been burned again and the family had had to move to Kumluçatı area. Fatim hasn't turned her face to the cities in the West of Turkey despite the pressure they had had faced. The family had returned to Şırnak from Kumluçatı. The family has lived in a tent which they set up in the Şenoba area of Şırnak's Uludere district due to "curfew" has been imposed in Şırnak. Fatim has lived with herchildren and grandchildren in the tent. She said she would never leave their lands despite difficult living conditions.

Fatim doesn't know what happened to her home in Şurnak. "They have demolished and burned Şırnak. Nothing left from there. They destroyed our homes and now we live in the tent. We stay in this tent with 10 people. We want to leave in our lands. These lands are our lands. What do they want from us? The lands and houses aren't theirs. They want to assimilate the Kurds. They want us to move to the West. However, we won't leave our lands. We won't be Turkish forcibly by being displaced to the West of Turkey even if they demoslih and burn our city by bombing."

Fatim talked about the life in 1990s by saying, "The life was very beautiful before. We passed all our days in villages and highland. We had the picnic and made our jobs. The soldiers had begun to come to our village in 1990s. They had gathered men in the village square and they had tortured them. They had burned and destroyed our village. They practiced the same atrocity in 1990s like today. There was a soldier named "Karabela". He had gathered every people in our village and the villages around. He had tortured the elderly people and women for hours. We had had to stay in tent in Kumluçatı. We have been displaced due to the state's massacre policies in Kurdistan. And again we are in tent.

"These lands are also ours. Each part of Kurdistan is ours. We are on our own lands. They should leave our lands. All I want them to leave us alone."
