ŞIRNEX - No news has been received from the prisoners in Şırnak since genocidal attacks were begun in the city. According to reports received, the prisoners haven't used their right to confer with their lawyers and the extremely sick and wounded prisoners haven't been able to be treated for two months.

As the entry and exit to the Şırnak have been forbidden since genocidal attacks under the name of "curfew" was declared on March 14 in the city, no news has been received from the prisoners in the Şırnak T Type Closed Prison which has capacity of 800 people. There are more than 1000 prisoners, including 300 hundrends political prisoners, in the prison.

All rights of political and ordinary prisoners have been taken away and no one has been able to communicate these prisoners for two months. The prisoners have been denied access to a phone since March 8 and they have been denied access to their family since March 14 whenthe attacks were begun.

The prisoners those who have been jailed pending trial, haven't been taken to court and even they cannot use their right of defense by connecting their trial via SEGBIS (Audiovisual Communications Systems).

No information has been obtained about their health conditions and their needs despite their lawyers have taken the legal action.

According to reports received from the lawyers of prisoners, infirmary has been closed in the prison where there are the wounded prisoners and the wounded prisoners cannot be treated. Meanwhile, there isn't patient acceptance in the Şırnak State Hospital.

In recent times, many prisoners, particularly political prisoners, have been exiled from the prison and their families haven't been informed about where the prisoners are.

The lawyers applied to the judge of execution for the legal rights of their clients. The prison administration gave a scandal response to the lawyers. The judge of execution said, "There isn't any fault of the prison administration. I am not the authorized person."
