KDP blocks the march to Sêmalka!

DUHOK - A march was organized to protest the closure of Sêmalka border gate under the leadership of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK). The Kurdistan Democratic Pary (KDP) soldiers stoped the people from marching. The Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) co-chair Nilüfer Koç reacted to the situation and she said that they will resist for removing the borders and national unity.

Rojava border gate Sêmalka that has been closed by the KDP for a while.The protest march organized by Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) and political party representatives against the dividing of Kurdistan with artificial borders on the centennial of the Sykes-Picot Agreement. The KDP forces stoped the people from going to Sêmalka border gate to protest. The KNK members, political party representatives and the press members were stoped on the Derbine road between Sêmalka border gate and Duhok by the KDP forces. The Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) co-chair Nilüfer Koç pointed out that the KDP indicates that they have implemented the colonists' policies by stopping them. Nilüfer stated that the decision of closure of the Sêmalka border gate was made by the KDP not the Southern Government.

Nilüfer reminded that today is also the anniversary of Hêwler Massacre when the KDP peshmergas killed 63 wounded and sick the PKK fighters. She said, "We are also here against the mentality of Brakuji (Killing the sibling). We would call the all Kurdish parties, who side with the policies of the colonists, to leave this policy. We weren't allowed to go to border gate, however, we managed to reach our message to our people and our struggle will continue."
