DîRBESIYÊ-The Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) of the Cîzirê Canton Board member Edalet Omer defines the explosion occurred in Qamişlo as intolerance against the will of the people, and said that the people should protect themselves and their system from any kind of attacks.

On Saturday, May 14, a car bomb exploded in the Osman Sebrî neighborhood Qamişlo's Hilîliyê city.Two people lost their lives, and one person got severly injured. The Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) of the Cîzirê Canton Board member Edalet Omer evaluated the attack and explained that after the announcement of the decision made by the Federal Democratic System of North- Western Syria, such attacks have increased. She also said that this shows the intolerance against the will of the people.

Edalet Omer emphazised in the beginning that there was a sensitive process ahead and she said, "A serious war is taking place in the region. The decision made in Rojava and Northern Syria by the Federal Democratic System of North-West Syria. This decision is the result of the will of the people."

'The nation-state system was rejected by the people'

Edalet said that the attacks against the people of west- Kurdistan have accumulated in the latest processes, and adding, "The authorities and the gangs associated with them have learned that the people bend toward them. However, our people in North and West Syria have decided to organize their Federal System. It was very clearly stated that the nation-state system was rejected by the people. This decision resulted in cruel attacks. The event of the explosion in Qamişlo is part of these attacks. They attack with methods of the most cruel and counterrevolutionary kind and they want to create chaos among the people."

'The people protect themselves and their system'

Edalet continued his word by saying; "They want to intimidate the people with these attacks. They cause these explosions. Like others, in Nusaybin heavy bombings take place and these can even cause our people of Qamişlo to be the target of the Turkish Regime. It can be seen very clearly that they want to break the will of the people. However, we are against any kind of attacks against a free life and equal to them we will raise our fight. Our people must in every way, and any city or place they live in, behave actively and not allow any attacks to occur. Protect yourselves and your system."
