ŞIRNEX - The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Şırnak MP Aycan İrmez applied to the Constitutional Court (AYM) for lifting the "curfew" continues for 65 days in Şırnak.

As genocidal attacks have continued in Şırnak for 65 days, the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Şırnak MP Aycan İrmez applied to the Constitutional Court (AYM) for lifting the "curfew". Aycan reminded in the application petition that 65 times 24-hour or indefinitely "curfew" has been declared in 20 districts of seven provinces where one million 299 thousand and 61 people live and she also specified the human rights violations and massacres in these cities and districts.

Some parts of petition read, "The curfews were declared in Şırnak, Cizre and other places through administrative decisions. Therefore, the principle of legality in limitation of fundamental rights and liberties has been ignored. The curfews eliminate the right to life, the right to travel, the right to housing, basic human rights and freedoms and the curfews violate the national and international conventions to which Turkey is a party. The right to life is under serious threat. Curfew, which has been imposed on Şırnak, has continued for 65 days and the tanks, howitzer, artillery and armored vehicles have been used in the city."

Aycan İrmez demanded the lifting of curfew in Şırnak in her application petition to the the Constitutional Court (AYM).
