Voice of women from Nusaybin: The Kurds’ll never forget the massacres

MÊRDÎN – Resistance, which has left 67 days behind, has continued despite the attacks. Mardin women those who reacted to the attacks and massacre, said that the massacre policies imposed in Kurdistan will never be forgot by the Kurds.
The eighth blockade imposed by the AKP government in the Nusaybin district of Mardin has left 67 days behind. While the attacks have continued in the town, the resistance of the YPS/YPS-JIN has continued, too. Mardin women reacted to the ongoing massacre policies in Nusaybin known as the castle of resistance. Şahide Abiş from Mardin said that as Kurdish women, they will never forget their history by emphasizing that who will give account of the ongoing massacre and destruction policies.
Şahide said that she wants to go back to the old days of Nusaybin and she stated that they are disgusted with the war policies on Kurdistan. Şahibe emphasized that the people should die anymore. Şahibe said the peace process under the leadership of the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan was a hope for the people; however, a war environment has been formed after the AKP government turned down the table of peace process. Şahide emphasized that any of the AKP’s managers hasn’t sent their children to this war and all people must raise their voice to protect their children. Şahide said, “Let’s Davutoğlu also sends his children to Şırnak, Silopi and Nusaybin. When he sends his children, he will understand the fathers and mothers live in these places. They pulled Nusaybin down with their tanks and bombs. They forced the people to leave their own homes.”
Nebihe Erdoğan said she was very upset for the ongoing situation in Nusaybin and she stated that they were forced to leave their homes by force of the state. She said the Kurds have been tried to tame with the policies of displacement for years, however, the Kurds never give up resisting.
Makbule Akyan is one of the women those who want peace in their lands like before. Makbule said, “No one will win anything from the war. Who starts the war will be among the losers. As women, we want to end this war. Whenever we demand the peace, the state kills our children for its benefits. Nusaybin women are like migrants. Migration life is very difficult. Women suffer more in this war.
