MÊRDÎN – Dicle News Agecy (DİHA) reporter Bilal Güldem was arrested on charges of “being member of an organization” and “making propaganda of a terror organization” while covering news in Nusaybin. The accusation about Bilal Güldem prepared by Nusaybin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is accepted. According to the accusation the reason of arrest Bilal is “public shares” on Facebook.

Dicle News agency (DİHA) reporter bilal Güldem had been detained while covering news in the Koçerler Boulevard of Batman. Then, he was sent to jail on charges of “being member of an organization” and “making propaganda of a terror organization”. A four-page accusation about Bilal Güldem was prepared by Nusaybin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. According to the accusation, the reasons of detention are wroten as journalistic activities. The reason of detention of Bilal in the accusation with witness statement is “public shares” on Facebook like Meltem Oktan, another jailed DİHA reporter.

The accusation reads, “Bilal went to the neighborhoods where there were trenches and barricades and interviewed the organization members and took the photos of organization activities.”

The first trial of Bilal will be held on June 30 in Nusaybin Criminal Courts of Peace.
