Children want their neighborhoods not cake

AMED - As the construction of police station has continued in the Alipaşa Neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Sur district, the police have handed out cake to the children by "chatting" with them. As the people of neighborhood get annoyed of the police talking to their children, 11-year-old A. said, "We want our neighborhood not cake."
While 24-hour "curfew" has been imposed in the Sur district of Diyarbakır since December 2, 2015, the bans are still going on in the district even though the state announced that "Operation is ended" on March 10 in the district. The constructions of police station have begun in many neighborhoods after declaration of "urgent expropriation" on the district. The construction of police stations has begun at the same time at 15-20 meter intervals in Alipaşa Neighborhood. The people of neighborhood get annoyed of contruction and said, "They search everyone who has bag. Our children don't feel confortable when they go to school due to them."
The children those who had lived under the sound of bombs, have to come face to face with soldiers and police. State forces members those who cause thousands of children to be displaced, lose their relatives, have handed out cake to the children by "chatting" with them. Women said that the police are trying to use the children as spy under the name of "chat". 11-year-old A. cannot forget all she has been though and react to those who invade her neighborhood. A. said, "They should give us our neighborhood not cake. They want to make us forget what happened. We don't want cake, we want our neighborhood. If they are really so good and they love us, they should rent a house not build police stations here and they should come to here on foot not with scorpion type armored vehicles.
