ADANA - The proposal of lifting the immunity of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MPs was approved in Parliament yesterday. Ceyhan women made evaluations about the approval of the proposal and said, "You won't seize the will of the people."

The "coup constitution" to lift the immunity of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MPs passed with 376 votes in favor with the corporation of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and with the support of the Republican People's Party (CHP). Ceylan women reacted to the AKP's coup against democratic politics. Sakine Toprak (57) pointed out that the lifting of immunity is an attempted coup against the HDP MPs. She said, "The attack against our representatives is against our will. The AKP's coup against the Kurds is a coup and an attack on will of six million citizens in the person of the representatives. The people those who think they can annihilate the Kurds like that must know that they cannot annihilate the Kurds. The Kurds won't surrender like before and they will protect our representatives those who are the people's will."

Sakine continued to talk by saying that the HDP MPs have fought for peace and democracy. She said, "We didn't steal anything. We and our representatives walk tall. Erdoğan wants to control the country alone and build the dictatorship in this country. We will never approve these attacks against our representatives." Sakine called on the people, particularly the Kurds, those who voted the AKP, "How long will you support them? Wake up. This is the time to unite against all attacks and pressure."

Fatma Elçiçek (50) is one of the Ceyhan women. Fatma said, "Enough. See what is going on in Kurdistan. Now is the time to unite against the fascism. Let's protect our will. They have tried to break our will for centuries with torture and prison. The atrocity has been imposed on Kurdish people for decades. They had forced us to leave our lands. They must know that they will never annihilate our will. Our representatives those who are the will of people will never surrender."
