Resistance continues in Şırnak & Nusaybin

MÊRDÎN/ŞIRNEX - Resistance against genocidal attacks has continued in Nusaybin for 71 days and in Şırnak for 70 days. Heavy attacks on two cities and clashes have continued.

24-hour "curfew", which had been declared in Mardin's Nusaybin district on March 14, has entered in the 71st day. The clashes erupted between the Civil Defense Forces (YPS)/ Women's Civil Defense Forces (YPS-JIN) and state forces in the Abdulkadirpaşa and Fırat neighborhoods last night continued until morning.

As violent explosions occurred in the town until morning, the clashes have continued nonstop in the town.

Resistance in on the 70th day in Şırnak

Resistance against the state's genocidal attacks has entered in the 70th day in Şırnak where clashes have continued. The neighborhoods were raked by heavy weapons stationed on armored vehicles. Violent clashes erupted in the Yeni, Aydınlıkevler and Bahçelievler neighborhoods in the morning.

Bahçelievler Neighborhood is being shelled with howitzer from time to time and violent clashes are going on around the neighborhood. No information has been obtained about the ongoing clashes yet.

Aydınlıkevler Neighborhood is another neighborhood where the attacks have become intense. Smoke rose from several buildings after the clashes erupted in the neighborhood.

According to reports received, state forces set on fire hundrends of houses in the Gazipaşa, İsmetpaşa and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods. Smoke covers the sky due to the fire.

There is also an ongoing UAV and helicopter activity over city' sky.

Meanwhile, according to statement on website of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), the soldier, who had been wounded by the YPS/YPS-JIN members in Şırnak and taken to Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GATA) in Ankara, was passed away in the hospital.
