MÊRDÎN -The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Democratic Regional Part (DBP), Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK) organized a raly in Kızıltepe with the motto, "Meeting of democratic public against coup". State forces attacked the people gathered and injured numerous people. More than 100 people took refuge in the building of Municipality. State forces detained the people by battering. After detention, state forces members had "celebration".

Thousands of people gathered in front of Kızıltepe Municipality to join the rally organized by The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Democratic Regional Part (DBP), Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK) with the motto, "Meeting of democratic public against coup". The citizens came to area by shouting slogans in favor of the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and "The will of people cannot be seized" and "Long live the resistance of YPS".

The HDP co-chair Figen Yüksekova was greeted with intense interest while she was entering the area of rally. Police attacked the people with gas and sound bombs. Many people have been injured with gas bombs. Some injured citizens were taken to hospital by their friends. Meanwhile, more than 100 citizens took refuge in the building of Municipality. Police detained them by battering. After detention, state forces members had victory "celebration".

Many wounded people were stuck in the building of Municipality. They could go out for a while to not be taken into custody. The police have detained everyone who goes out from the Municipality. The attacks of police have continued.
