AMED - The Democratic Regions Party (DBP), which is recently under the state's pressure, is going to hold its congress with the motto "Resistance and freedom now more than ever". Fatma Gül, who is a member of the Central Executive Committee of the DBP, says the congress will bring out the colors of women. Although the attacks are targeted at the DBP at the surface, we know that they are a message to women, too. For this reason, we'll hold this congress for women to exist more freely and more organized."

Headquarter of the DBP is going to hold the extraordinary congress on May 28. The imprisonement of the DBP co-chair Kamuran Yüksek and the political genocide continues without slowing down. The congress is planned to have more female representation. The previous operations and the content of the congress was evaluated by Fatma Gül as an attempt to sabotage the congress by detaining the co-chair of the DBP and they are going to hold the congress more powerful despite all policies of attack.

"A try to block the political struggle"

Fatma underlined the importance of the imprisonement of Kamuran Yüksek and that the state is trying to block the work of a political party. Fatma also stated that the government was taking arbitrary actions to block the political struggle in Turkey. Fatma said, "What is intended is to destroy the will of the Kurds who are actively fighting against the regime of the palace (of Recep Tayyip Erdogan). The attacks are a part of their politics of suppression. A war of suppression has been imposed on anyone Turkey by taking over the factor of Kurds who actively oppose and resist the politics of the palace. The chaos was created to destroy everyone future. We interpret the imprisonement of Kamuran Yüksek as a part of this politics."

"An intend to eliminate the people, the DBP and HDP from politics"

Fatma said that the DBP proceeds under certain perspectives from day ones, which are the foundation of the autonomy and the principles of a democratic republic. Fatma stated that the most humanly requests are being terrorised and that the prevention of the democratisation of Turkey intends to legitimate the dictatorship. Fatma said, "The resistance of the people is trying to be broken down. Everyone who struggles against the regime of the Palace, the people, the DBP and HDP are intended to eliminate from the politics. No regime can stand agains the resistance of the people."

"Our congress will reveal a democratic core"

Fatma expressed that the DBP will represent all ethnic identities those who live in the Middle East and that the congress will lead them to unite with the society and to introduce themselves at a more solid basis. Fatma said, "It will be a congress to reveal a more democratic core and redefines itself through it. We will begin a new formation with our people and this congress will reveal our role and mission more clearly. This is why it is important for everyone to join the congress with this consciousness."

"We are not without alternatives inspite of antidemocratic tendencies"

Fatma emphasized that the congress will begin with the color and difference of women and it will redefine the DBP from this perspective. She also states that the struggle of women will play a more central part and added, "We will bring out the colors of women. Although the attacks are targeted at the DBP at the surface, we know that they are a message to women, too. For this reason, we'll hold this congress for women to exist more freely and more organized. The Kurds have never been without an alternative politically. The arrest and detention will not stop us. We are not without alternatives despite ongoing antidemocratic tendencies. We will hold our congress with massive participation. As our co-chair once said, "They will not succeed whatever they do.""
