Call from Nusaybin: Open a life corridor

NEWS CENTER- As the Civil Defense Units (YPS) announced that they pulled their forces from Nusaybin; the civilians are under attacks in Alika (Tunç) Neighborhood of Nusaybin. A mother and civilian named Yasemin Erkol spoke live on a program by telephone. She said there are 35 people with her and most of civilians are children. She called for sensitivity.

The General Coordination of the Civil Defense Units (YPS) announced that they pulled their forces from Mardin's Nusaybin district. The YPS stated in the statement that there are civilian mothers, children and wounded citizens trapped in Alika (Tunç) neighborhood and they called for action for civilians. A woman named Yasemin Erkol from Alika Neighborhood spoke live on a program of Med Nuçe Channel by telephone. She said that there are children and mothers with them and most of children are wounded. Yasemin said that there are 35 civilians where they are and said, "We don't have any opportunity to see and connect with anybody. We cannot get out from here and we call for help. There is consistently gunfire. There are seriously wounded people there is a person who is bleeding. We cannot stop the bleeding. There isn't water and food. The children are depressed due to ongoing situation."

Human Rights Association (İHD) Mardin Branch issued a call for the civilians under the siege of state forces in Nusaybin and demanded to open a life corridor for them. The statement of the İHD reads, "According to reports from news agencies, the civilians in Nusaybin call for help to be evacuated from the town. Meanwhile, they state that their right to life is in danger. Protecting civilians' right to life is obligatory. A life corridor must be opened immediately to evacuate the civilians. The civilians must be evacuated now and now to avoid a massacre like in Cizre. The right to life of civilians is under the production of the state. Official authorities must provide a life corridor to evacuate the civilians immediately.
