Ruken wants her cat and Sur back

AMED - State forces destroyed the Sur district of Diyarbakır, they pillaged the houses and killed people in the town. They also distinguished 12-year-old Ruken from her cat. Ruken looked for her cat for six months. Ruken said, "I miss the old Sur and my cat very much."

24-hour curfew has imposed on many parts of five neighborhoods of Diyarbakır's Sur district about six months. The curfew was lifted in 14 streets of three neighborhoods on March 17. The people went to Sur and looked for their houses after the curfew lifted. As thousands year old historical monument, walls and historic houses pillaged and destroyed in the town, state forces killed every living creature by being coded. Some images showed that some animals were run over by panzers.

The people those who pillaged the history, distinguished 12-year-old Ruken from her cat, too. While people went into Sur to look their houses, Ruken looked for her cat Gaffoş. Ruken had to leave Dabanoğlu Neighborhood after the curfew had been declared. Ruken had had to leave Gaffoş in Sur. She looked for Galloş everyday during the ban. Ruken found her cat in a basement. Galloş was killed. "She didn't cause any harm. Why did they kill her?" asked Ruken and said, "I miss my cat. I came to Sur everyday with my mother to find my cat during the ban. I told the police that I wanted to find my cat in Sur; however, they didn't allow me. I had dreams of my cat. I want my cat back."

Ruken said, "I played tag and hide-and-seek with my cat. She never left me alone. I didn't have friend to play game. They bashed in the head of my cat with a rock. They also trashed our home. All children are looking for their toys now. I want my cat and old Sur back. I won't have a cat more. If I have one, they will kill it, too."
