AMED - Hevidar divorced from her husband, who didn't allow her to work and study, and she is standing on her own feet by beginning to work. Hevidar said that a woman should say, "No" to begin building their life.

Hevidar Ekinci is working in a small buffet called, "Keda Jine Cihe Xwarine" (Food with Women's Labor) opened by Yenişehir Municipality and she has maintained her life with her labor. Hevidar cooks large thin float bread and pastries and she hosts her guests in the buffet. Hevidar said she has been working in the buffet for seven months. She draws attention to the importance of women's participation in the production and working life. Hevidar said that first of all, she gained confidence and said, "The fire of resistance is built when women say, "No"."

Hevidar had studied in university; howver, her husband didn't allow her to study and work. Hevidar divorced from her husband eight years ago and she has worked in many places and she has standed on her own feet since she divorced. Hevidar is working in "Keda Jine Cihe Xwarine" now she is doing her job fondly. Hevidar pointed out that women should know their right and economic independence is very important for women. Hevidar said that she lived long time by considering "What will people say?" however, women shouldn't think like that and she said, "Women can do everything if they want. You don't care how much you earn, because you earn yourself with your labor. Two women are working here now. One is me, other is a female student. Not living under someone or men shade is the most beautiful feeling. I feel very happy to live like that.

"Once you say, "No" everything will be easier. I decide everything myself, I don't need give any account to anybody. I am the father and mother of my child now."
