HDP delegation visits Yüksekova

COLEMÊRG - A delegation consisting of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), among them the HDP co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ, came to Yüksekova where siege has been lifted in the daytime.

A delegation consisting of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ, the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chairs Hatip Dicle and Leyla Güven, the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) co-chair Sebahat Tuncel and the Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK) co-speaker Gülistan Koçyiğit came to Hakkari's Yüksekova district where 24-hour curfew was imposed for 70 days and it has been lifted in the daytime. Van Metropolitan Municipality co-mayor Bekir Kaya, the HDP Van MPs Lezgin Botan and Adem Geveri have accompanied the delegation.

The delegation went to Yüksekova Municipality building. Leyla Güven made a short speech there. Leyla stated that Yüksekova resisted for 79 days and many houses have been blowed down due to attacks. "We believe in our people. This atrocity has been imposed on these people. I believe that our people will dress their wounds together how they did in the past." said Leyla by stating they share the people's pain.

The delegation will carry out investigation in Orman, Kışla and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods where there were intense clashes and they will visit the citizens.
