KOBANÊ - Manbij Military Council has announced that they have launched "Operation to Save and Liberate Manbij"

Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD) launched an operation to liberate North Raqqa launched on May 24 from three different directions. The operation was extended with fourth arm from Tabqa. As the Raqqa operation has continued from four directions, Manbij Military Council has announced that they have launched "Operation to Save and Liberate Manbij" on June 1. In the statement, the council indicated that their only objective is to stop the atrocity of Daesh. The statement reads; "There are Arabs, Kurds, Turkmen, Circassians and the people of Manbij in our Military Council. We will be handed over to the Manbij Regional Assembly, which is a civilian structure comprised of Arabs, Kurds, Turkmen and Circassians, once liberated."
