ŞIRNEX - The Federation of Democratic Youth Unions' (DEM-GENÇ) members departed to Cizre for solidarity with Cizre people after genocidal attacks imposed on them; however, state forces prevented the youth from entering the district. The youth reached the aid to Cizre despite all the obstacles.

The Federation of Democratic Youth Unions' (DEM-GENÇ) members departed from Istanbul to Şırnak's Cizre district, where genocidal attacks imposed for 79 days, on June 2 for solidarity with Cizre people with motto, "Let's build self-government from Cizîr to Gever". State forces prevented the youth from entering the district. The youth had to return to Istanbul. However, DEM-GENÇ members contacted the Construction Committee of Cizre and sent the amount that they had saved for Cizre to the committee through the bank account. Meanwhile, the white appliances bought for Cizre were given to the families.

DEM-GENÇ member Hebun Sümeli called for solidarity with Cizre, Sur, Yüksekova and Nusaybin. Hebun said, "As democratic and patriotic students in Istanbul, we wanted to do something for Cizre with our pocket money. We collected 12,105 Turkish Lira. We bought white appliances for 12 families. We call on all left socialists, patriotic young people and all sensitive people to support the campaign for Cizre, Yüksekova, Nusaybin and Sur."
