AMED - The body of Rozerin Çukur, who was shot in the head and killed on January 8 in Sur, has been identified after five months.

17-year-old Rozerin Çukur was shot in the head and killed in the Fatihpaşa Neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Sur district on January 8. Her body couldn't be taken from the district for months due to the obstruction of state forces. Her body was taken from where it was buried upon the announcement of ending the operations in the district. Her family gave blood sample to identify their daughter's body on April 1. The family was called by prosecution office and the family was reported that their daughter's body is being held in Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital.

Rozerin Çukur will be taken from hospital to the Herîdan village of Diyarbakır's Dicle district to be buried.
