YPJ commander: We will rebuild our cities with our self-power

QAMIŞLO - The Women's Defense Units (YPJ) and People's Defense Units (YPG) met with people in Anteriye Neighborhood. As hundrends of people attended to the public meetings, the YPJ commander Evindar Deniz commemorated the ones who have lost their lives on June. She shared the latest developments with the people and answered the people's questions.
A public meeting was held in the Anteriye Neighborhoods of Cizîr Canton's Qamişlo city last evening. Many women attended the meeting. The YPJ commander Evindar Deniz emphasized the importance of operation that began on June 1 for Kurdish people. Evindar said, "The struggle of many leader women like Sema, Gulan and Zilan those who sacrificed their lives in the Kurdish freedom struggle shouldn't be forgotten. Today we pioneer the Syrian Democratic Forces as YPG/YPJ we'll continue to share the latest developments with our people. We began the operation on June 1 and our forces are in Manbij now. Meanwhile, our people have continued to resist with their self-power in the North. We'll rebuild our cities with our self-power and will like we did in Kobanê.
"Kurdish people rise with their faith whenever fascist power says "We annihilate the Kurds" and Kurdish people have faced genocide. I believe that Kurdish people will advance important development by not forgetting the ones who had a great role in Kurdish history like Mahsum Korkmaz (Agit), Erdal (Engin Sincer), Zilan (Zeynep Kınacı) and Sema. We should raise our struggle in order to lift the borders in four parts of Kurdistan."
After the speech of Evindar Deniz, Necah Sileyman, who lost one of her children in the Rojava Revolution, made a speech in behalf of Kongra Star. Necah said, "Our North people are resisting in Nusaybin, Gever, Cizre and Şırnak. We stand behind of our people, because, Rojava Revolution is the North revolution, I mean it is the revolution of Kurdish people. We stand behind our people to the end. Meanwhile, the South has closed its doors to our wounded for dirty politics of Turkey. However, they opened their doors in order to we leave here. As people, we stand behind of the YPG/YPJ to the end.
After the speeches, the people shouted the slogans such as, "Long live Leader Apo", "Martyrs are immortal", and "Long live the resistance of Bakur "and" Long live YPG/YPJ and YPS."
