Villages liberated, the liberation of the center closes

MANBIJ - Manbij Military Council fighters shared the results of "The operation of Commander Martyr Faysal Ebû Leyla" in a press statement. The council said, "Our forces are now surrounding the city and can hit Daesh targets in the city center. We can state that the city has been liberated in these circumstances."

Manbij Military Council fighters announced the results of "The operation of Commander Martyr Faysal Ebû Leyla" in a press statement. Manbij Military Council commander Adnan Ebû Emced made the statement. Adnan Ebû Emced stated that the operation to liberate the city center and suburbs of Manbij has continued successfully.

Adnan noted that tens of villages and small towns of Manbij have been liberated in the first week of the operation. "Our forces has been encircled the city from the south and northeast. We have cut all logistics routes to Manbij. Our forces, meanwhile, have taken the control of of the Manbij-Jarablus and Manbij-Raqqa roads. The villages of the east of the city have been liberated. Our forces are now surrounding the city and can hit Daesh targets in the city center. However, we advance slowly and carefully for the security of civilians." said Adnan.

Adnan noted that they reached to the villages occupied by gangs and said, "Our forces have saved the civilians under siege of gangs and they were sent to safe areas under our control. The committee of council has provided basic needs of foodstuff and medicine to the civilians. Our forces have cleared mines and explosives in tens of villages so that residents can safely return to their homes.

"We thank the Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD) for their logistical and moral supports and we thank to the International Coalition forces against Daesh for their air and counselling supports. We call upon civilians to stay away from gangs' positions and headquarters and be careful until all gangs are cleared from Manbij city center."
