ŞIRNEX - Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Şırnak administrator Hurşit Külter was detained 15 days ago in Şırnak; however, the state has been denying that Hurşit was detained. It is said that Hurşit has been held in 23rd Gendarme Border Division Command and the soldiers told him, "You will talk or you will be killed".

Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Şırnak administrator Hurşit Külter was detained on May 27 in Şırnak by state forces and the detention was accepted on social media accounts belong to special forces. However, law enforcement and administrative organs have denied that Hurşit was detained. According to the statement of village guards, Hurşit has been held in 23rd Gendarme Border Division Command.

According to eyewitnesses, Hurşit Külter had been taken to Gümüştepe Special Operations Branch Office after he had been detained.

The village guard, who requested anonymity for security reasons, said that Hurşit was taken to 23rd Gendarme Border Division Command after he had been held in Gümüştepe Special Operations Branch Office for seven days.

As Provincial Security Directorate, Public Prosecution Office, 23rd Gendarme Border Division Command and Şırnak Governorship have denied that Hurşit was detained, Human Rights Association (IHD) lawyers applied to the UN and ECHR for Hurşit.
