HDP delegation prevented, deputies insulted

ŞIRNEX - A delegation consisting of the representatives of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), including group leader of the HDP Çağlar Demirel, wanted to go to Şırnak for solidarity with families those who have been displaced from Şırnak to the villages around the city. The delegation was stopped in the Kasrik town of Cizre by soldiers.
Citizens had to leave Şırnak and set up tents in the villages around Şırnak when state forces' genocidal attacks began in Şırnak. A delegation consisting of the group leader of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Çağlar Demirel, the HDP MPs Besime Konca, Ferhat Encü and Ayşe Acar Başaran wanted to go to Şırnak for solidarity with Şırnak families. However, they were stopped in the Kasrik town of Cizre by soldiers.
The HDP group leader Çağlar Demirel, who went to the town with a vehicle with official plate allocated by Parliament, reacted to the soldiers those who stopped the delegation without showing any reason. The soldiers insulted to Çağlar without showing any document.
The HDP delegation is still waiting in the town.
