Female political prisoners begin hunger strike

ADANA - Female political prisoners in Tarsus C Type Prison announced that they have begun a three-day hunger strike and they will deny contacting any person for five weeks by sending a letter through their families.
Female political prisoners in Tarsus C Type Prison sent a letter to the Federation of Associations of Solidarity and Legal Aid forFamilies of Prisoners (TUAD-FED) through their families. According to the letter, female political prisoners have begun a three-day hunger strike and they will deny the visits and contacting anyone for five weeks.
Seven female political prisoners were banned from seeing their families and they were taken into solidary confinement for beginning a three-day hunger strike.
Adana TUAD-FED representative Nursel Kocabey said that the injustice against women should be improved immediately. She said, "The violation of right has continued to rise in Tarsus C Type Prison. Female prisoners have begun a three-day hunger strike. Four female prisoners have been put in solitary confinement. The war outside reflect on prison as policy of intimidation. The pressure on the prisoners must be stopped."
