Bedia Özgökçe: Military's authority of killing is crime internationally

WAN - Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Van MP Bedia Özgökçe Ertan pointed out that the civilian executions have increased recently and these executions will be more with the circular passed for the soldiers. Bedia said, "An uncontrolled and unlimited authority to kill has been given to soldiers by laws. However, they should know that these laws are crime due to they are against the rules of war law in the international area."

Pressure continues to increase steadily with unlawful policies in Kurdistan within the scope of war concept carried out by the AKP government. Siege and massacres have carried out in many districts and cities and civilians have been executed within the scope of this war concept. The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Van MP Bedia Özgökçe Ertan evaluated the results of the circular which give immunity to the soldiers.

Bedia pointed out that Kurdish people are under pressure of the state and the people are being targeted. Bedia said, "The ongoing situation is different from the past. We are faced with a gladio team turned into killing machines and the people have been targeted. The situation turns into an uncontrolled mechanism. They call this situation as "counter terrorism" while they kill the people by targeting."

Bedia also pointed out the civilian executions have increased recently and the executed civilians have been declared as "terrorist". Bedia emphasized that there isn't people's security of life. She said, "We buried our friend Ahmet Demirağaç. He had dreams and hopes. We have lost our comrades those who tried to do politics with us. Hurşit Külter has disappeared for 20 days. The people those who do politics with the DBP and HDP are targeted."

The government has passed new circulars by disregarding the law, said Bedia and she pointed out that one of these circulars give immunity to the soldiers. Bedia said, "The soldiers have more power with this circular. This situation must never happen in a country claiming to be democratic and a state of law. Kurdish people are being targeted; however, they will continue this war against everyone different from them. An uncontrolled and unlimited authority to kill has been given to soldiers by laws. However, they should know that these laws are crime due to they are against the rules of war law in the international area."
