Xezal works for the hope of Yüksekova children

COLEMÊRG - Xezal Yalçın came from Adana to Yüksekova to heal the wounds of Yüksekova people in solidarity with them, she is packing the clothes to send them for children in the Ramadan Feast. Xezal said, "The most innocent children have experienced the reality of the war. Their homes have been burned and demolished but we do our best to keep alive their hopes."

Solidarity with Yüksekova people, whose homes were burned and demolished during "curfew", is growing day by day after siege and martial law in Yüksekova (Gever) district of Hakkari. As the Rojava Solidarity and Aid Association and Yüksekova Municipality collectively have collected the aids are delivered to people by volunteers, the aids collected from many cities and towns are still being sent to Yüksekova. The people wounds are being tried to be healed by many people. One of them is 55-year-old Xezal Yalçın, who came to Yüksekova with a women's group from Adana. She sets everyone an example. She has packing the clothes for Yüksekova children by participating in works actively for upcoming feast though she is fasting.

Xezal has begun to work by waking up early morning. She also goes to the neighborhoods in order to distribute food to people for fast-breaking with volunteers. Xezal said that she came to Yüksekova to heal the wounds of Yüksekova people in solidarity with them. She noted that she walks around streets and the views are very influenced her. Xezal said that she is moved to tears when she thinks many youth passed away in these streets. Xezal also stated that no one has held their hands of people for decades.

Xezal, who works in storage in order to pack the aids collected in Adana. She said, "There is a feast soon. We want to give the aids to children in the feast. The most innocent children have experienced the reality of the war. We want to make them happy at least in the feast. Their homes have been burned and demolished but we do our best to keep alive their hopes."
As the works continue in Yüksekova, Yüksekova people are waiting for volunteers who participate in solidarity.
