Şırnak people lead communal living in tents

ŞIRNEX - People lead their life in tents by not leaving their lands against the state's destruction and massacres. Şırnak people those who set up tents around the city, have resisted against ongoing the state's oppression. They said, "We don't surrender to the state. We takeover our pertinacity from our children fight in the streets of Şırnak. Their only request from us was to hold our head high against the state; we do what they demanded from us."
Şırnak people had been forced to leave their homes with 24-hour curfew declared in Şırnak on March 14. They have set up tents around the city in order to not leave their lands. Şırnak people are leading a communal living in the tents now. They said, "No oppression of the state can intimidate us. We have faced to the state's oppression for 102 days. We set up tents; however, we don't surrender to them. We won't surrender anymore."
Fehime Pusat is one of these people. She set up tent in the residential located in outskirts of Şırnak. She said, "We don't regret to live in the tents. We are pleased to be here. The enemy shouldn't be happy in vain. Our only sorrow is our children in Şırnak. We never complain even if we are on the fire. We know that we won't fear anymore as long as our fearless children will be with us. The state doesn't want we set up tents here. We won't leave our lands. That's the biggest loss of the state. Our children are fighting for their lands in Şırnak. We resist here to not leave them alone. The state has begun to attack our tents when they lost in Şırnak. Our children's only request from us was to hold our head high against the state; we do what they demanded from us.
"State forces tell us to leave the tents. Police conducted raid on our tent two days ago. They said that they would burn us with our tent if we didn't leave the tents. But, we resisted against them. We won't leave our tents. They have blocked the health services to come here. They want to intimidate us by doing that. We don't submit to them. We takeover our pertinacity from our children fight in the streets of Şırnak. Our children's only request from us was to hold our head high against the state; we do what they demanded from us."
Fehime stated that they have a communal life with her neighbors in tents. She said, "We don't need anyone. We had difficulties to set up our tent; however, no one helped us. Just our people helped us. We have formed a system by supporting each other. We bought sheep in partnership with our neighbors. We have turned our sheep out to pasture every morning. We share the milk between each other. Our only problem is water problem. Actually, it isn't issue for us."
