Governments' war policy kills women

ANKARA - Women are most affected by the patriarchal system's war and immigration policies. They have faced much oppression such as sexual assault, massacre and child marriage in the countries they have migrated. Fettaha A. is one of these women. She was killed by her husband inflicting violence on her.
Fettaha, who was subjected to systematic violence, had to migrate from Syria to Ankara's Altındağ district with her four children three years ago. She was killed by her husband Yaser A. for refusing to panhandle. The most women and children are affected by the policies of the governments and ideologies. Women can be subjected to abuse and rape and they can face to massacre and child marriage during war.
Fettaha tried to take care of her children with the help of her neighbors and by panhandling due to her husband didn't work. That day, Fettaha wanted to go mosque in order to perform tarawih prayer by refusing to panhandle. Her husband began to discuss with her. Yaser demanded her to go to panhandle not to mosque. He killed her wife in front of their four children. Fettaha was taken to morgue after her neighbors called police to the scene. Yasere was sent to prison.
Syrian women those who had been forced to migrate to various places as result of Syria's war policies, have been killed by their husbands, fathers, elder brothers, unknown people and the state's forces. Dirty war policies are targeting women's bodies with reasons like matter of honor, revenge, occupation and exploitation.
Some of killed Syrian women since 2013 are as follow;
* A pregnant woman was stabbed to death in Diyarbakır's Sur district on February 2014.
* 35-year-old E.M was stabbed to death by her husband in İzmir's Karabağlar district on September 2015.
* Ahi Mahmud was killed at her home on April 2015.
* Fahriye Halil was killed in her home by robbers on January 2016.
* Nezahat Celal was killed by state forces when she tried to go to Derik at border on January, 2015.
* Şua Hüseyin El Ubeyt was killed by soldiers in Urfa's Ceylanpınar district on May, 2014
* 18-year-old Ole Mahmut was killed by her husband on June, 2015.
