ISTANBUL - The trial of our correspondents Ceren Karlıdağ and Öykü Dilara Keskin, who were detained for "joining an armed action" while covering news and a bill of indictment has been filed against them, has been postponed to October 11.

The trial of our corrspondents Ceren Karlıdağ and Öykü Dilara Keskin, who were detained for "joining an armed action" while covering news and a bill of indictment has been filed against them, was held today in Istanbul Çağlayan Courthouse. Our correspondent Ceren Karlıdağ presented her defense at the trial by saying, "I went to in front of building of British Consulate to cover the news. We showed our press cards however, they didn't accept them. The prepared accusation says JINHA is an "illegal". In fact, JINHA is a news agency with more than 60 correspondents and it pays its taxes, it isn't illegal."

Our correspondent Öykü Dilara Keskin began to talk after the defense of Ceren. Öykü said, "We were detained by being beaten although we told them we are journalists."

Our correspondents' lawyer Eren Keskin, meanwhile, demanded Ceren Karlıdağ and Öykü Dilara Keskin to be acquitted by stating that our correspondents went to there to cover news in behalf of JINHA.

The trial has been postponed to October 11 by deciding to demand the images of the detention.
