AMED-Kurdish people resisted against denial and destruction policies 26 years ago. Today the same policies are being carried out against Kurdish people. Lice and Dicle women, who live in Lice and Dicle where "curfew" and "special security areas" declared, said, "Today isn't the day for sitting without doing anything, Day is the day to revolt and frighten, we didn't fear before and we won't."

The annihilation and assimilation policies carried out in 1990s, in North Kurdistan have continued after 26 years. Forest fire began in Diyarbakır's Lice, Kocaköy, Hani, Dicle, Hazro and other rural areas after declaration of "Special security zone" and "curfew". Entrance and exit to the districts have been banned and state forces have denied the access of fire department to be extinguished forest fire. Lice and Dicle women those who lived in these districts in 1990s, said that these policies have been carried out; however, they don't work.

Lamia Dolan, who lives in Lice, said, "We don't scared from anyone. We cannot be annihilated by bans, being killed and being forced to displace. We had left our village and returned many years ago. The same is going on now. We are not afraid from anything. We follow our children and their struggle. We continue to do that forever. We are always here. Let Erdoğan know that when our children start to speaking they say that "Long live Leader Apo" (Apo: refer to Abdullah Öcalan). We don't recognize their bans, they should lift the bans. We aren't afraid of the bans. Look, bans still have imposed here; however, we still continue our jobs."

Lamia said, "We will be stronger, whenever the government imposes more pressure. The more the government out us in prison, the stronger we will be. I'm calling on Karayilan, let destroy the palace on him. Because, he has destroyed and pillaged our homes let's do the same to him. We won't break our morale because we are the winner. Erdoğan said he would convince us by offering money. He said that he would be the president of Kurds. You cannot be our president by killing us."

Lamia stated, "Kurds will never be annihilated and we will win the struggle. We are winning. We don't recognize to their bans. I'm calling on all the Kurds and especially women; Today is not the day for sitting. The time is the time of uprising. We will follow Apo and his guerrillas to the end."

Meanwhile, "Many areas of Dicle have been declared as "Special security zone". The citizens those who live in Eloseke (Gelinlik) village, said that they experienced the same situation in 1990s. One of village women, M.Y, who didn't want to write her name, said that they were living in the village in 1990s, and her husband was killed by state forces and said: "20 years ago my husband was killed by soldiers. Every day they took me from home to investigate. Every morning they collected the villagers in the field and they waited them without water and food until the midnight."

M.Y continued to tell her story, "The soldiers took us to the village school and they were beaten our hands and nails with sticks. My husband's brother was arrested and taken to Diyarbakır. They shocked him with electricity. They tortured him. After they got it that he didn't do anything they released him. However, my brother-in-law is still sick. Then, we had to leave the village. After leaving our village, we understood that we cannot do anything in other places and we returned to our village. Now, they want to do the same thing to us. But, we won't leave our home and village that time."
