ŞIRNEX - Şırnak women, who maintain their life in hot springs in Güçlükonak, said, "We feel sorry for the YPS and YPS-JIN members who died in Şırnak. We didn't want to leave them alone. We were with them and we were happy with them. The state forced us to leave." and they stated that they are waiting for lifting the ban (curfew) to return their homes.

Forced to leave their lands Şırnak people have resisted against displacement policies by settling in districts around Şırnak after ban (curfew) declared in Şırnak. About 300 families of displaced Şırnak people have been lodging in Güçlükonak's pensions. As Şırnak and Güçlükonak people are rebuilding their life in a communal life, women have passed their daytime in gardens and they have gathered to cook bread after breaking the fast. We met Asya Yüksel while she cooked bread. She began to talk by condemning the isolation on the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. She said, "Don't let our guerrillas lose more blood. Don't let Kurdish mothers cry more. We want a free, equal and peaceful life not only in Kurdistan but also in whole world."

Asya pointed out that the people maintain the war should hear the scream of Kurdish mothers right away. She said, "They say that they will rebuild the cities they demolished. Don't demolish and don't rebuild. We are pleased our lives. We don't want the government." Asya stated that they didn't want to leave the YPS JIN (Women's Civil Defense Forces) and Civil Defense Units (YPS) members alone and they feel sorry for them, she said, "We were with them and we were happy with them. The state forced us to leave. They told us they would kill us if we didn't leave there. We left because we have small children. The youth were our life. We'll return to Şırnak as soon as it will be opened to us."

Sakine Yüksel, meanwhile, stated that they will never give up Şırnak. She said, "We'll return our lands even if we don't have homes. We are waiting for the lifting the ban. We'll rebuild our homes even if a stone left behind them. They have demolished our homes in vain. Kurdish people have the power to liberate not only Kurdistan but also whole world. We have discovered that in Rojava. The state resists in vain. We'll rebuild Şırnak."
